Moved into my property Feb 2019 using Swift lawyers, terrible experience. Lack of contact, difficult to get a hold of our solicitor and overall was a nightmare to complete even though there was no chain.
But that's not the main issue.
I wanted to sell my house summer 2021, we had an interested buyer and was going through the conveyancing route using a different solicitor. As soon as this process started they told us that NONE of the household documents were in mine or the joint owners name. The Deed, the lease, everything was still in the previous owners name. Contacting them was a nightmare but my new solicitors were dealing with it but we're also having issues contacting them. I spoke to land registry and they said that Swift lawyers continuously missed deadlines to change documents over into our names, therefore the cases had been closed and reopened.
It wasn't resolved until winter 2021, where we had then lost our buyer and I lost the property I wanted to purchase afterwards.
I raised multiple complaints through their official procedure as well as with the CEO but haven't heard a response. We had a very difficult purchaser for our property and he dealt promptly with all enquiries and really went the extra mile. Ali kept us in the loop with every step and achieved a practically impossible completion timescale. Our purchasers were adding further enquiries in constantly and threatening to pull out of the sale if they were not answered immediately against a ticking completion date.  He went above and beyond to ensure our completion and we would not hesitate to recommend his conveyancing.
Haidar Ali and Mevish Mahmood were  also exceptional in ensuring that the exchange and completion went through in a very short period of time.  This was all against the clock with purchasers threatening to pull out if their date was not met and Swift Lawyers achieved the impossible for us.
